Following the success of the Easter Bible Study Programme and inspired by the theme of the 2015 Keswick Convention, the Discipleship Group are now keen to encourage members of St George’s to attend even a little of this year’s convention, which runs for 3 weeks from the 11th July. Keswick is just an hour by car from Dumfries, so a day trip is possible. The theme is ‘The Whole of Life for Christ’, in order words lifelong discipleship.

There will be several seminar streams running for an hour in different venues in the mornings, followed by a church service – the sermon will progress through a theme from Monday to Friday.

There is Bible teaching in the afternoons and an evening celebration at 7pm. The music at both celebrations is provided by top class musicians and Stuart Townend is usually the leader for one of the weeks.

You can attend as many or as few of the sessions as you wish. There is no charge and no pre-booking needed, just turn up and enjoy.

There is also a large exhibition centre called Earthworks, which showcases the work of many Christian charities and mission agencies and it is open in the mornings and afternoons.

If you would like to know more, there are posters around the church and hall, or you can speak to Anne or Ewan Flint. Please also speak to Anne or Ewan if you would be interested in joining a day trip to Keswick.
