Following the latest guidance from The Scottish Government and The Church of Scotland, there will be further relaxation in our procedures from 1 October.  Please take a moment to read the following information and to bring yourself up to date with what to expect at St George’s.

SUNDAY WORSHIP: St George’s is open at 11am on a Sunday morning for worship. We also have a weekly Kids Club during term time. Our services are live-streamed and recorded. We have seating available downstairs and upstairs in the gallery. All welcome.

The latest guidance recommends that we continue to sit in household groups and to keep a safe physical distance from others, but members of the congregation will now have more freedom to choose where they sit in church. Deacons will be on hand to assist when required.

FOR YOUR SAFETY: Everyone is encouraged to sanitise their hands as they enter and leave the church. It is still a legal requirement to wear a face covering in church and the doors will remain open during our services to improve ventilation, so please wrap up!

WORSHIP FROM HOME: For those who are unable to attend church or who prefer to worship from home, it is possible to view our services live via YouTube at 11am on a Sunday morning or to view a recording at a later date.  Please refer to our CHURCH SERVICES page to access weekly links to our online services or CLICK HERE TO ACCESS THE YOUTUBE CHANNEL. You can also view services from previous weeks.

OFFERINGS: An offering plate is located in the vestibule near the front door of the church. Should you wish, please leave your offering in the plate as you enter the church. It is also possible to set up a Standing Order for regular offerings, so if this is something you would like to do, please ask for details.

DONATIONS:  If you are in a position to make a one-off or occasional donation to St George’s Church please CLICK HERE for more information about how to make a donation or use the donate button below. Thank you.

Due to the current regulations regarding the need for increased ventilation in church, the temperature may be lower than normal. If you are likely to feel the cold, you may wish to consider wearing warmer clothes or layers when on duty or attending church.
