Worship Group
Who are we?
The group comprises some elders, deacons and church members with our minister acting in an advisory capacity. We meet approximately every six weeks and a report on our activities is regularly submitted to the Kirk Session. Aims
To encourage a "mix of ages" to become involved in the act of worship.
To help instill confidence in members of the congregation to actively participate in church services.
To play our part in ensuring that all people in the congregation feel part of the church community and enjoy coming to church
To support the congregation in the advancement of God's Kingdom and growth in our spiritual life
How do we do this?
By organising annually, four "Worship Together" Services conducted by work group members and involving, as appropriate, other members of the congregation, choir, music group, Kid's Club and Youth Fellowship.
By including drama in our act of worship, often in the enactment of a biblical text or passage. The 'dramas' are interspersed throughout the year and provide a visual impact and, for some, a better understanding.
By encouraging members of the congregation who are willing to assist with readings and prayers to regularly participate in church services.
By discussing innovative ways of enhancing our worship styles, such as the inclusion of visual and musical items, to add to the enjoyment of Sunday worship.
